Presidents Message

It is an honor and a heavy undertaking to follow Richard Sachs as President. He is a dedicated leader who led the Unit with exemplary service to the community.

It’s hard to believe that thirty one years ago, I was part of a small, but focused group that met in Maurice Berkowitz’ law office to form this great organization: B’nai B’rith Justice Unit #5207.

Richard is correct that our Unit is often referred to as the "Jewish Bar Association", but it is so much more. It’s a model for community service. This year we need to take this mandate even further: More scholarships, increased partnerships with other organizations, an emphasis on helping children, and promoting mutual understanding. This is our mission.

I am joined this year with a stellar group of Officers and Board of Directors. Together we will work diligently to achieve our goals and continue to bring pride to this fantastic organization.
